Judges 14 uses it twice for Samson scraping honey from the lion's carcass—first scraping it out, then scraping it into his hands. Some scholars also read Jeremiah 5:31 with this meaning: prophets and priests 'scrape off' illicit gain from the people. The verb suggests extracting or removing something by drawing it out.
