A verb in the passive (Niphal) stem describing confusion or bewilderment. Pharaoh will think Israel is 'confused' or wandering aimlessly in the wilderness, trapped by geography (Exodus 14:3). The city of Susa is 'bewildered' by Haman's edict against the Jews (Esther 3:15). Joel describes cattle wandering in confusion because drought has destroyed pasture (Joel 1:18).
