V-AIP-2P  |  3× in 1 sense
to enrich, to make wealthy; to provide abundance or make someone rich, materially or spiritually
This verb means to make wealthy or enrich someone. Paul reminds the Corinthians that they 'were enriched' in Christ in every way—in all speech and knowledge (1 Cor 1:5). He describes godly people who are poor yet 'making many rich' through the gospel (2 Cor 6:10). He assures them that as they are 'enriched' in everything for all generosity, thanksgiving will overflow (2 Cor 9:11). While the word can apply to material wealth, Paul consistently uses it for spiritual enrichment—grace, gifts, and generosity flowing from God's abundance.

Senses
1. sense 1 Cross-linguistic evidence emphasizes making rich/enriching: English 'being-enriched/making-rich/you-were-enriched', Spanish 'enriqueciendo/fuisteis-enriquecidos/siendo-enriquecidos', French 'enrichir', German 'reich-machen'. The lexicon defines it simply as 'make wealthy, enrich'. 1 Cor 1:5 describes being enriched in all speech and knowledge in Christ. 2 Cor 6:10 describes the paradox of being poor yet making many rich (spiritually). 2 Cor 9:11 speaks of being enriched for generosity. All three NT uses are spiritual enrichment, though the verb can apply to material wealth.
