The people of Tyre and Sidon seek audience through Blastus (Acts 12:22), a mob is stirred up in Thessalonica (Acts 17:5), and the Ephesian demos roars in the theater (Acts 19:30, 33). Spanish pueblo and French peuple capture this collective civic sense, while English oscillates between 'crowd' and 'people' depending on context.
