Prep-l | N-fs  |  6× in 1 sense
Satiety, fullness; the state of being completely satisfied, especially with food, sometimes leading to moral excess.
Denotes the condition of being fully sated, primarily with food but extending to moral and spiritual dimensions. The phrase 'eat to satiety' (אָכַל לְשָׂבְעָה) appears in promises of abundance (Isa 23:18; Ezek 39:19) and in invitations to genuine spiritual nourishment (Isa 55:2). Yet satiety can also breed complacency: Ezekiel indicts Sodom for 'fullness of bread' that fostered arrogance (Ezek 16:49), and insatiable dogs symbolize greedy leaders (Isa 56:11). Spanish 'saciedad' and 'saciarse' capture both the positive and negative valences of this fullness.

Senses
1. satiety, fullness The state of being fully satisfied or sated, used of both physical food-satisfaction and moral/spiritual excess. Positively, it appears in divine promises of abundance: Tyre's profits will provide food 'to satiety' for those dwelling before Yahweh (Isa 23:18), and warriors at God's sacrificial feast eat fat 'to satiety' (Ezek 39:19). Isaiah 55:2 uses it figuratively for genuine spiritual nourishment. Negatively, Ezekiel 16:49 identifies 'satiety of bread' (שִׂבְעַת לֶחֶם) as a root sin of Sodom leading to pride, and Isaiah 56:11 depicts greedy leaders as dogs that 'know no satiety.' Ezekiel 16:28 extends the image to unsatisfied carnal desire. Spanish 'saciedad/saciarse' and English 'satisfaction' both capture the dual valence.
