A denominative verb from לֵבָב (heart), used in two quite different senses. In Job 11:12, the Niphal means 'to get sense/understanding'—will a hollow man acquire a heart? In Song of Songs 4:9, the Piel means 'you have stolen/captured my heart' or possibly 'you have encouraged me'—the lover's passionate declaration to his beloved. The dual usage shows how the heart encompasses both intellect and affection.

(וְאִישׁ נָבוּב יִלָּבֵב), implying intellectual impossibility—as unlikely as a wild donkey's colt being born human.
