N-proper-fs  |  6× in 1 sense
Yehudit — 'in the Judean language,' an adverbial use of the gentilicic adjective referring to the Hebrew dialect of Judah.
Though grammatically a feminine proper adjective from Yehudah (Judah), this word functions adverbially in every biblical occurrence to mean 'in the Judean language' — that is, in Hebrew as spoken by the kingdom of Judah. It appears in the famous diplomatic exchange during the Assyrian siege of Jerusalem, when Judean officials plead with the Rabshakeh not to speak 'Yehudit' within earshot of the people on the wall (2 Kgs 18:26, 28; Isa 36:11, 13). It recurs in Nehemiah 13:24 lamenting that children of mixed marriages could no longer speak Yehudit. The Spanish glosses 'en judaico' and 'en judío' nicely capture the adverbial force.

Senses
1. Judean language, Jewish speech Used adverbially to denote the Judean or Jewish language — the Hebrew dialect of the southern kingdom. All six occurrences are adverbial: four describe the Rabshakeh's public speech during Sennacherib's siege (2 Kgs 18:26, 28 = Isa 36:11, 13), one describes the Assyrian psychological campaign in 2 Chr 32:18, and one laments linguistic assimilation in Neh 13:24. Spanish 'en judaico/en judío' and English 'Judean' both reflect the sociolinguistic sense — identifying the spoken vernacular of Judah as distinct from Aramaic, the lingua franca of the Assyrian empire.
