1. heir (one who inherits) — An heir, one who receives an inheritance, used both literally (as in the parable of the wicked tenants, Matt 21:38, Mark 12:7, Luke 20:14) and theologically for believers as heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ (Rom 8:17, Gal 3:29, 4:7, Tit 3:7, Heb 1:2). Multilingual evidence is consistent: spa 'heredero/herederos', hin 'varis' (same form sg/pl), arb 'warith/waratha' (heir/heirs), kor '상속자' (sangsokja), swa 'mrithi/warithi' (sg/pl following Bantu noun class). The singular (N-NMS, N-AMS) vs plural (N-NMP, N-DMP, N-AMP) split is purely inflectional number with identical semantics. 15×
