Worse — comparative adjective denoting inferior condition, greater severity, or moral deterioration
The adjective χείρων (cheirōn), the irregular comparative of κακός ('bad'), describes a deteriorated or more severe state. The demoniac's re-possessed condition is 'worse than the first' (Matt 12:45; Luke 11:26), and the hemorrhaging woman 'grew worse' under many physicians (Mark 5:26).
