V-PIA-3S  |  2× in 1 sense
to bring forth, produce outwardly what is stored within
A verb for bringing out or producing. Both uses are in Luke 6:45, within Jesus' teaching on fruit-bearing. The good person brings forth good from the heart's good treasure, while the evil person brings forth evil from the evil stored within. The verb emphasizes the outward manifestation of inward reality—speech and action reveal what fills the heart. What is brought forth (good or evil) is determined by what has been stored up.

Senses
1. sense 1 The glosses ('brings forth,' 'saca,' 'produire') converge on producing or bringing out. Luke 6:45 uses the verb twice in antithetical parallelism: good treasure produces good, evil treasure produces evil. Jesus' point is that external fruit is diagnostic of internal character—the mouth speaks from the heart's overflow, and the verb captures this outward manifestation of inward reality.
