Su uso mas vivido se encuentra en Numeros 11:32, donde los israelitas esparcieron las codornices alrededor del campamento para secarlas. En 2 Samuel 17:19, la mujer de Bahurim extiende grano sobre un pozo para ocultar a Jonatan y Ahimaas. La intensificacion Piel aparece en Salmo 88:9, donde se extienden las manos en oracion.
