Levantarse, ser exaltado, ensalzar (arameo)
Este verbo arameo, que aparece exclusivamente en Daniel, expresa elevación o exaltación: ya sea la autoexaltación por orgullo, el ser elevado por otro, o el ofrecer alabanza. Su rango semántico es paralelo al hebreo רוּם, abarcando tanto el alzarse físico como la elevación metafórica de estatus o espíritu. Todas sus apariciones se relacionan con el orgullo, la soberanía divina o la adoración.
Sentidos
1. Elevación y exaltación — Denota alzarse o ser exaltado en diversas conjugaciones. El Peil (pasivo) en Daniel 5:20 describe el corazón de Nabucodonosor «enaltecido» por soberbia. El participio Polel en 4:34 significa «ensalzar» a Dios. El participio Afel en 5:19 describe el poder de «elevar» a personas.
