Aventar, dispersar; esparcir o ser esparcido como tamo ante el viento, representando el juicio divino o la dispersión irremediable.
Evoca la imagen vívida del viento aventando el tamo, las hojas o el rastrojo — metáfora por excelencia del juicio divino y del destino de los impíos. El Salmo 1:4 establece la escena clásica: los malvados son «como el tamo que arrebata el viento». El verbo funciona en dos voces: el Qal activo presenta a Dios o al viento como agente que dispersa a los enemigos con fuerza, mientras que el Nifal pasivo retrata a los indefensos arrastrados sin remedio. En español ambos polos se captan con 'aventar' (esparcir al viento) y 'ser aventado' (ser esparcido).

1. Ser aventado, arrastrado (Nifal) — Nifal pasivo: ser aventado, arrastrado o dispersado sin remedio, describiendo tamo, rastrojo u hojas llevados por el viento. Levítico 26:36 advierte que los desobedientes huirán al «sonido de una hoja arrastrada», e Isaías 19:7 lo aplica a la vegetación junto al Nilo.
