Describe la accion de formar un circulo alrededor de algo o alguien: rodear, cercar o asediar. Jesus profetiza que Jerusalen sera rodeada por ejercitos (Lc 21:20), y los lideres judios lo rodean en el templo exigiendole una respuesta clara (Jn 10:24). En Hch 14:20 los discipulos forman un circulo alrededor de Pablo apedreado. Hebreos 11:30 recuerda como los israelitas rodearon Jerico durante siete dias hasta que sus murallas cayeron. Apocalipsis 20:9 representa el asedio final donde fuerzas hostiles rodean el campamento de los santos. La raiz κύκλος (circulo) es visible en cada uso.
