Impulsar, propulsar o remar; referido al viento o una fuerza que empuja embarcaciones, personas u objetos.
Verbo versátil de movimiento enérgico —impulsar, remar o propulsar— usado tanto en contextos náuticos como figurados. Los discípulos se esfuerzan remando contra un viento contrario (Mc 6:48; Jn 6:19), un endemoniado es impulsado por el espíritu inmundo hacia lugares desiertos (Lc 8:29), las naves son dirigidas por sus pilotos (Stg 3:4), y los falsos maestros son comparados con nubes sin agua «arrastradas» por los vientos (2 P 2:17). El énfasis recae en la fuerza externa que mueve al sujeto.
