Enviar arriba, devolver o remitir a una autoridad superior; usado para traslados legales y el retorno de personas.
Compuesto de ἀνά (arriba) y πέμπω (enviar), este verbo encierra la idea fundamental de enviar a alguien hacia arriba, ya sea geográfica, social o legalmente. Todas las apariciones neotestamentarias se agrupan en contextos jurídico-jurisdiccionales. Pilato envía a Jesús a Herodes (Lc 23:7), Herodes lo devuelve (Lc 23:11, 15), y Festo remite el caso de Pablo al emperador (Hch 25:21). El envío de Onésimo de vuelta a Filemón por parte de Pablo (Flm 1:12) añade una dimensión personal. El español distingue bien los matices direccionales: 'envió' (mandó) y 'envié de vuelta' (devolvió).
