Un verbo algo literario y antiguo para vestir o arropar a alguien, usado en el NT exclusivamente por Jesús en dos dichos paralelos sobre el cuidado providencial de Dios. En Mateo 6:30 y Lucas 12:28, Jesús argumenta de menor a mayor: si Dios así viste la hierba del campo, ¡cuánto más vestirá a sus seguidores! Mateo 11:8 y Lucas 7:25 emplean el participio perfecto pasivo para describir a alguien 'vestido con' ropas finas, contrastando la vestimenta rústica de Juan el Bautista con el lujo de la corte.
