Verbo con dos aplicaciones: que el metal se vuelva romo o sin filo, y que los dientes sufran «dentera» (la sensación desagradable al comer alimento ácido). Eclesiastés 10:10 lo usa para un instrumento de hierro embotado que exige más esfuerzo. Jeremías 31:29-30 y Ezequiel 18:2 citan el proverbio «los padres comieron uvas agrias y a los hijos les dio dentera», que ambos profetas rechazan expresamente, enseñando responsabilidad individual en lugar de generacional por el pecado.

1. Embotarse / dar dentera — Eclesiastés 10:10 advierte que «si el hierro se embota (קֵהָה) y no se afila, hay que emplear más fuerza».
