Verbo cuyo sentido en Qal significa empujar o impulsar, usado cuando el Espiritu de Yahve comienza a agitar a Sanson (Jue 13:25). En el Nifal y el Hitpael, el significado se desplaza hacia la perturbacion interior: el espiritu de Faraon se turbo tras sus suenos (Gen 41:8), y el espiritu de Nabucodonosor quedo tan agitado que el sueno huyo de el (Dan 2:1, 3). El salmista emplea el Nifal para expresar una profunda conmocion personal (Sal 77:4). El verbo abarca desde el impulso divino exterior hasta la angustia interior mas intensa.
