Este verbo estativo expresa la cualidad de ser dulce, agradable o placentero para alguien. Abarca dominios tanto sensoriales como espirituales: el sueno que es dulce (Pr 3:24; Jer 31:26), la meditacion que agrada a Dios (Sal 104:34) y las ofrendas sacrificiales que agradan o dejan de agradar al Senor (Jer 6:20; Mal 3:4; Os 9:4). Los usos negativos son especialmente impactantes: los profetas declaran que las ofrendas de Israel no son gratas a Dios a causa de su infidelidad.
