The Wilderness of Sin is a desert region on the Exodus route between Elim and Mount Sinai, mentioned in the Priestly source. Exodus 16:1 locates Israel's arrival there on the fifteenth day of the second month, where God provided manna and quail. Numbers 33:11-12 lists it in the itinerary of Israel's wilderness wanderings. The name should not be confused with the sin offering or with the city of Sin (Pelusium) in Egypt.
