enternecerse, conmoverse (de compasión); arder, calentarse (de la piel en el hambre)
Este verbo describe el calentamiento o la agitación de emociones profundas, especialmente la compasión paternal, y también el ardor de la piel durante la hambruna. Cuando se usa con compasión (rahamim), capta la respuesta visceral y fisiológica de la ternura: el modo en que el corazón de un padre «se enternece» hacia su hijo, o cómo la compasión de Dios «se enciende» hacia su pueblo. En un uso físico notable, describe la piel ardiendo como un horno durante la fiebre del hambre. El cognado arameo significa calentar la carne o la comida.

1. Compasión encendida — El verbo Nifal describe tanto la agitación emocional como el calor físico. La compasión de José «se enternece hacia su hermano» al ver a Benjamín, obligándolo a retirarse y llorar (Gn 43:30). La compasión de la verdadera madre «se conmovió por su hijo» cuando Salomón amenazó con dividir al niño (1 R 3:26).
