A personal name appearing exclusively in the genealogies of the tribe of Asher in 1 Chronicles 7:32-33. The name appears three times in rapid succession as both a descendant of Heber (v. 32, where one manuscript reads יַפְלָט instead) and as ancestor of other Asherites (v. 33, twice). The Greek versions render it variously (Ιφαμηλ, Αφαληκ, Ιαφαλητ), showing the typical uncertainty in transliterating Hebrew proper names.
