Detrás de, tras; después de — posición espacial posterior o de persecución; sucesión temporal.
Preposición y adverbio versátil cuyos dos sentidos se dividen nítidamente entre lo espacial y lo temporal. En su acepción espacial, אַחַר sitúa a alguien detrás de otro o en su persecución: 'fue אַחַר de sus hermanos' (Gn 37:17). En su acepción temporal, marca secuencia: 'después de estas cosas' (Gn 15:1), 'después' (Gn 10:18). El español distingue ambos sentidos con claridad: detrás de (espacial) frente a después de (temporal), lo cual confirma la realidad interlingüística de esta división semántica.

2. después de (temporal) — Sucesión temporal: después, posteriormente, a continuación de un evento en el tiempo. La legislación sacerdotal en Levítico y Números emplea repetidamente וְאַחַר para marcar secuencias rituales (Lv 14:8; 15:28).
