Conj  |  3× in 1 sense
therefore, then, accordingly; an inferential particle drawing a logical conclusion
This conjunction marks logical consequence or introduces a conclusion based on what precedes. Slightly more emphatic than the common oun (therefore), toinun appears rarely in the New Testament but was frequent in classical dialogue and philosophical discourse. It often introduces a practical application or response to an argument. The particle combines toi (an emphatic marker) with nun (now), creating a sense of "well then" or "so then" that moves from premise to conclusion with some rhetorical force.

Senses
1. sense 1 The three occurrences show varied rhetorical functions: Luke 20:25 concludes Jesus' teaching on the tribute question: "Render therefore (toinun) to Caesar the things that are Caesar's." First Corinthians 9:26 applies Paul's athletic metaphor: "Therefore (toinun) I run not as uncertainly." Hebrews 13:13 draws a consequence: "Let us therefore (toinun) go to him outside the camp." The Spanish glosses (Entonces, pues), French donc, and German daher all convey logical inference. While less common than oun, toinun adds a measured, somewhat formal tone to the conclusion being drawn.
