Verbo compuesto que significa dar testimonio junto con otro, co-testificar. Pablo lo emplea tres veces: la ley y la conciencia «dan testimonio juntamente» del conocimiento moral de los gentiles (Ro 2:15), el Espiritu «da testimonio con nuestro espiritu» de que somos hijos de Dios (8:16), y la conciencia de Pablo «da testimonio con el» en el Espiritu (9:1). El prefijo συν- subraya la corroboracion: dos testigos confirmando una misma realidad. En el uso clasico incluye respaldar el testimonio de otro o estar en aspecto astrologico.

Los tres usos paulinos presentan un testimonio dual: conciencia y ley juntas, Espiritu y espiritu juntos, conciencia y Espiritu juntos.
