Verbo compuesto que significa participar conjuntamente en algo, tener comunión o asociación compartida. Pablo advierte contra participar en las «obras infructuosas de las tinieblas» (Ef 5:11), elogia a los filipenses por compartir en su aflicción (Fil 4:14), y Apocalipsis advierte contra participar en los pecados de Babilonia (18:4). El prefijo συν- (junto) resalta que la participación compartida crea comunidad: uno se hace cómplice o se une a aquello en lo que participa, ya sea para mal o para bien.
