Preparación; en el NT exclusivamente el día antes del sábado o de una festividad judía, es decir, el viernes
Παρασκευή significa literalmente «preparación», pero cada aparición en el Nuevo Testamento se ha cristalizado como término técnico del calendario: el día anterior al sábado o a una fiesta mayor, cuando toda la cocina, los preparativos funerarios y demás trabajos debían completarse antes de la puesta del sol. Los cuatro Evangelios lo emplean en el relato de la Pasión — Mateo 27:62, Marcos 15:42, Lucas 23:54, Juan 19:14, 31 — anclando la cronología de la crucifixión. El alemán «Rüsttag» (literalmente «día de equipamiento») capta bellamente este sentido, al igual que el uniforme español «Preparación».
