Arabia, the Arabian peninsula or region
A geographical proper name referring to the Arabian peninsula or broader Arabian territory. Paul mentions going to Arabia in Galatians 1:17 after his conversion and before returning to Damascus. In Galatians 4:25, he makes a typological connection between Hagar, Mount Sinai, and Arabia. Classical Greek writers used the term for the Arabian lands, often associated with trade routes and desert regions. The Septuagint established the connection between Arabia and Sinai's location.
