Tejido trenzado; vestiduras sacerdotales especialmente tejidas o trenzadas para el servicio del tabernaculo
Este sustantivo aparece unicamente en Exodo dentro del material sacerdotal, y designa vestiduras especiales tejidas o trenzadas para el servicio del tabernaculo. Siempre aparece en la frase «las vestiduras tejidas para ministrar en el lugar santo» o similar (Exodo 31:10, 35:19, 39:1, 41). La naturaleza exacta de este tejido es incierta: algunas traducciones entienden «vestiduras finamente tejidas», otras «obra trenzada». La Septuaginta lo traduce como «vestiduras liturgicas». Estas prendas eran distintas de la ropa sacerdotal ordinaria, elaboradas con especial esmero para el servicio sagrado, con su tejido mismo confeccionado intencionalmente para el ministerio en la presencia de Dios.
