En-Rogel — 'fuente del batanero,' manantial en el límite de Judá y Benjamín cerca de Jerusalén
En-Rogel ('fuente del batanero' o 'fuente del pie') era un importante manantial situado en la frontera entre los territorios tribales de Judá y Benjamín, cerca de la confluencia de los valles del Cedrón y del Hinom, al sur de Jerusalén. Funcionaba como hito geográfico clave en las descripciones de límites tribales (Jos 15:7; 18:16). Posteriormente adquirió relevancia en las intrigas políticas de la corte de David: Adonías celebró allí su banquete rival de coronación (1 R 1:9), y Jonatán y Ahimaas esperaron junto a la fuente como espías durante la revuelta de Absalón (2 S 17:17).
