Cegar, sacar los ojos (Piel); usado literalmente de cegar cautivos y figuradamente del soborno que corrompe el juicio
En la conjugación Piel, este verbo significa cegar o sacar los ojos a alguien. Su uso literal describe el brutal castigo infligido al rey Sedequías por Nabucodonosor (2 R 25:7; Jer 39:7; 52:11). En sentido figurado, tanto Éxodo 23:8 como Deuteronomio 16:19 advierten que el soborno ciega los ojos de los sabios y de quienes ven con claridad.
