Hashabnah, a leader among the people who sealed the covenant in Nehemiah's time
Hashabnah was one of the chiefs of the people who set his seal to the covenant renewal under Nehemiah (Neh 10:25). The name appears only once in Scripture. Ancient versions like the Septuagint render it as Esabana or Asbana, suggesting some textual uncertainty. BDB notes it may be a scribal error for a similar name, Hashabiah, which occurs elsewhere.
