Qal: to go out, be extinguished — The Qal imperfect of da'ak describing the process of a flame, lamp, or light being extinguished or going out, used both literally of fire/lamps and metaphorically of the wicked's lamp being snuffed out (Prov 13:9, 20:20, 24:20; Job 18:5-6, 21:17; Isa 43:17).
