Gosén — la fértil región del delta del Nilo donde Israel residió, y un distrito en el sur de Judá.
Gosén designa ante todo la exuberante zona oriental del delta de Egipto que José aseguró para la familia de su padre (Gn 45:10; 46:28-34; 47:1-6). Protegida de las plagas que azotaron al resto de Egipto (Éx 8:22; 9:26), se convirtió en símbolo de protección divina en medio del juicio. Un segundo Gosén aparece en la zona montañosa meridional de Judá, tanto como distrito conquistado por Josué (Jos 10:41; 11:16) como ciudad enumerada entre las asignaciones de Judá (Jos 15:51). Las principales traducciones conservan el nombre sin alteración: español «Gosén/Goshén», francés «Gosen», alemán «Goschen/Goshen».
