Estiércol, excremento; desecho animal o humano, especialmente seco y usado como combustible
Se refiere al estiércol o excremento, con el matiz distintivo de desecho moldeado en tortas redondeadas — el cognado árabe jilla designa específicamente boñigas de camello formadas en bolas. Ezequiel 4:12 y 4:15 ofrecen el uso más vívido: Dios ordena al profeta cocer pan sobre excremento humano como señal de la contaminación de Israel, y luego permite sustituirlo por estiércol de vaca. En Job 20:7 el impío perece «como su propio estiércol», imagen gráfica de total insignificancia. Sofonías 1:17 extiende esta figura a la sangre derramada como polvo y la carne como estiércol.
