Gezer — ciudad cananea fortificada en la frontera de Efraín y Judá, posteriormente ciudad levítica israelita.
Gezer fue una ciudad cananea estratégicamente vital, ubicada en el límite entre la Sefela costera y la región montañosa de Efraín. Su rey cayó ante Josué en Laquis (Jos 10:33), pero Israel no pudo expulsar completamente a sus habitantes cananeos durante siglos (Jos 16:10; Jue 1:29). El faraón finalmente conquistó e incendió la ciudad, entregándola como dote a la esposa egipcia de Salomón (1 R 9:16-17). Asignada como ciudad levítica (Jos 21:21), Gezer fue testigo tanto de las victorias de David sobre los filisteos (2 S 5:25; 1 Cr 14:16) como de las ambiciosas campañas constructivas de Salomón.
