Cuerpo (vivo o muerto); cadáver — de seres humanos en vida, muerte o imaginería visionaria.
Sustantivo femenino que designa el cuerpo físico, ya sea vivo o muerto. En Génesis 47:18, los israelitas ofrecen sus cuerpos (geviyyotenu) al faraón cuando el hambre agota todos los demás recursos — un cuerpo vivo entregado por desesperación. En 1 Samuel 31:10-12, la misma palabra nombra los cadáveres de Saúl y sus hijos colgados en el muro de Bet-sán. Las criaturas vivientes de Ezequiel tienen geviyyot como estructura corporal (Ez 1:11, 23), mientras que Daniel ve una figura cuya geviyyah brilla como berilo (Dn 10:6). El término abarca todo el arco desde la carne que respira hasta los restos del campo de batalla.
