χίλιοι G5507
A thousand — the cardinal number 1,000, used literally and symbolically for vast duration and measurement
The adjective χίλιοι (chilioi) is the Greek cardinal for a thousand. Its NT usage is concentrated in Revelation with rich symbolic weight. Peter relativizes human time: 'with the Lord one day is as a thousand years' (2 Pet 3:8). Revelation uses it for prophetic witness duration (Rev 11:3), the woman's wilderness refuge (Rev 12:6), a vast distance (Rev 14:20), and most famously the millennial reign, where Satan is bound and saints reign for 'a thousand years' (Rev 20:2-7). Spanish 'mil' and French 'mille' translate directly.
