Lugar: ubicación física, región o sitio designado; a veces posición, oportunidad o espacio en sentido figurado.
Τόπος es la palabra griega estándar para 'lugar' tanto en sentido literal como extendido. En los Evangelios designa ubicaciones geográficas concretas: el 'lugar desierto' donde Jesús alimenta a la multitud (Mt 14:13, 15), el Gólgota, 'el lugar llamado de la Calavera' (Mt 27:33), y el 'lugar santo' de la profecía de Daniel (Mt 24:15). Hechos y las Epístolas lo extienden ocasionalmente hacia 'oportunidad' o 'posición' ('dad lugar a la ira', Ro 12:19; 'no deis lugar al diablo', Ef 4:27). Apocalipsis lo despliega en dimensión cósmica: los lugares del cielo y la tierra (Ap 6:14; 12:8; 20:11).
