1. forehead (front of the head) — The front part of the human head above the eyes, used in the NT exclusively in Revelation for the location of marks, seals, or the name of God/the beast (Rev 7:3, 9:4, 13:16, 14:1, 14:9, 17:5, 20:4, 22:4). Singular and plural forms carry identical meaning, differing only in number morphology. Multilingual evidence is uniform: spa 'frente/frentes,' hin 'maathe/maathon,' arb 'jibhatihi/jibaahihim,' kor 'ima,' swa 'paji la uso / vipaji vya nyuso.' The Swahili pair is especially clear: 'paji la uso' (singular forehead) vs 'vipaji vya nyuso' (plural foreheads) showing pure number alternation with no semantic shift. 8×
