V-AIA-3P  |  2× en 1 sentido
to make white, whiten, or bleach; to cause something to become brilliantly white or clean
To make something dazzlingly white, whether literally or figuratively. Mark uses it to describe Jesus' garments at the Transfiguration, whiter than any earthly bleacher could achieve—a glimpse of divine glory. Revelation applies it metaphorically to robes washed in the Lamb's blood, a paradox where crimson makes white. The ancient Greek could mean whitening with chemicals, plastering walls, or the whitening effect of dawn on lamplight.

Sentidos
1. sense 1 The supernatural whitening in Mark 9:3 and the metaphorical purification in Revelation 7:14 both point beyond ordinary bleaching. The Greek verb family extends from literal whitewashing of buildings to the sensory experience of whiteness itself. Multiple languages (Spanish blanquear, French blanchir, German weiss-machen) preserve the direct causative sense: making something white, not just describing it.
