Conjunción 'y'; también adverbial 'también, aun, igualmente' para énfasis o adición
La palabra más común del Nuevo Testamento griego, καί es el tejido conectivo básico de la narrativa y el discurso bíblico. Como conjunción copulativa simple encadena cláusulas y listas: 'y Abraham engendró a Isaac, y Isaac engendró a Jacob' (Mat 1:2). Pero καί también tiene fuerza adverbial significando 'también, aun, igualmente,' introduciendo a menudo una adición sorprendente o enfática — 'aun los vientos y el mar le obedecen' (Mat 8:27).
