strength, might, power

Senses
1. strength, might, power The noun ἰσχύς denoting inherent physical or spiritual strength, might, or power — the capacity for forceful action. Used of God's might (Eph 1:19, 6:10; 2 Thess 1:9; 1 Pet 4:11; Rev 5:12, 7:12) and of human obligation to love God with all one's strength (Mark 12:30, 33; Luke 10:27; cf. Deut 6:5 LXX). All three clusters share identical translations: eng 'strength/might', spa 'fuerza/potencia/fortaleza', hin शक्ति/सामर्थ्य/बल, arb قُوَّةِ/قُوَّتِهِ/القُوَّةُ, kor 힘, swa 'nguvu/uweza'. The variation between genitive/dative (S69623, S69624) and accusative/nominative (S69625) is purely inflectional. 10×
