V-ANM  |  2× en 1 sentido
to reach, to arrive at, to attain to
This verb describes successfully reaching a destination or goal, whether spatial or metaphorical. Paul uses it twice in 2 Corinthians 10 to discuss the boundaries of his apostolic ministry. In verse 13 he refuses to boast beyond proper limits but only 'according to the measure of the sphere which God appointed us—a sphere which reaches even to you.' Verse 14 reinforces this: 'we are not overextending ourselves, as though we did not reach you, for we were the first to come even as far as you with the gospel of Christ.' The imagery is of a measuring line that extends to its appointed limit.

1. sense 1 Both uses appear in Paul's defense of his apostolic authority to the Corinthians. The verb's classical sense of 'reaching' or 'aiming at' a target supports Paul's argument that God assigned him a territory (Corinth included), and he successfully arrived there first with the gospel. The spatial metaphor carries authority implications—Paul reached them legitimately, within his God-given jurisdiction, not as an interloper in another's field.
