Respetable, honorable, prominente; describe personas de posición social distinguida o partes del cuerpo que merecen trato digno.
Literalmente 'de buena forma o porte', este adjetivo describe a personas socialmente prominentes, moralmente respetables o físicamente presentables. Marcos lo usa para José de Arimatea, miembro 'prominente' del concilio que se atrevió a pedir el cuerpo de Jesús a Pilato (Mar 15:43). En Hechos, describe a las mujeres y hombres influyentes de Tesalónica y Berea que se opusieron al evangelio o lo abrazaron (Hch 13:50; 17:12). Pablo reutiliza el término en 1 Corintios 12:24 para referirse a las partes 'decorosas' del cuerpo que no necesitan honor adicional, contrastándolas con los miembros menos presentables que Dios ha dignificado especialmente.
