Adverbio que expresa una ocurrencia abrupta e imprevista. Cada uso en el Nuevo Testamento conlleva una nota de sorpresa dramática: la hueste celestial apareciendo de repente ante los pastores (Lucas 2:13), un espíritu apoderándose de un muchacho sin aviso (Lucas 9:39), una luz cegadora del cielo resplandeciendo alrededor de Saulo en el camino a Damasco (Hechos 9:3; 22:6) y la advertencia de Jesús sobre el regreso repentino del señor (Marcos 13:36). La palabra marca consistentemente la irrupción divina en la experiencia humana ordinaria.
