Pour out, shed — to pour forth liquid, blood, or Spirit; figuratively to abandon oneself recklessly
The verb ekcheo carries the visceral image of liquid leaving its container, and the New Testament stretches it across a dramatic range. Wine bursts from old wineskins (Matt 9:17; Luke 5:37), covenant blood is 'poured out for many' (Matt 26:28; Mark 14:24), and at Pentecost God pours out the Holy Spirit on all flesh (Acts 2:17-18, 33). The same root appears in Revelation's bowl judgments, where angels pour out God's wrath. Spanish uniformly renders derramar, while French distinguishes repandre (pour out) from se precipiter (rush headlong) in the figurative use at Jude 1:11.
3. abandon oneself to A rare figurative extension: to abandon oneself recklessly, to rush headlong. Appearing only at Jude 1:11, where false teachers 'poured themselves out' into Balaam's error for profit. French se-precipiterent ('they rushed headlong') and German ergossen-sie-sich ('they poured themselves out') capture the self-abandoning reflexive nuance that sets this apart from the transitive pouring of liquid or blood.

1. pour out liquid or Spirit The broadest and most frequent sense: to pour out a liquid substance, or metaphorically to pour out the Holy Spirit, wrath, or divine blessing. Jesus speaks of new wine poured out when wineskins burst (Matt 9:17; Luke 5:37), and covenant blood is 'poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins' (Matt 26:28). At Pentecost, Peter quotes Joel: God 'will pour out my Spirit on all flesh' (Acts 2:17). Spanish derramar and German ausgiessen hold steady across both literal and metaphorical uses, confirming one cohesive semantic core. 22×

2. shed blood To shed blood — a specialized application of pouring out that foregrounds violent death or martyrdom. Luke 11:50 warns that 'the blood of all the prophets shed from the foundation of the world' will be required, Acts 22:20 recalls the blood of Stephen being shed, and Revelation 16:6 justifies God's judgment because oppressors 'shed the blood of saints.' The consistent gloss derramada in Spanish and the passives being-poured-out / having-been-shed in English confirm a distinct forensic coloring centered on culpable violence.
