δεξιός — derecho (mano o lado); la posicion de honor, poder y autoridad divina
El adjetivo δεξιός ('derecho') designa la mano derecha o el lado derecho, con peso tanto espacial como teologico a lo largo de 54 apariciones en el Nuevo Testamento. Espacialmente, identifica una parte del cuerpo (Mt 5:29-30) o una posicion en una escena (Mt 25:33, las ovejas a la derecha). Teologicamente, la 'diestra de Dios' es el asiento supremo de autoridad donde Cristo es exaltado (Mc 16:19; Hch 2:33; Col 3:1), derivado del Salmo 110:1. Tambien significa comunion y comision (Ga 2:9). El espanol 'diestra' capta fielmente este doble sentido espacial y honorifico.
