Tecoa: pueblo en las colinas de Judá al sur de Belén, hogar de la mujer sabia y del profeta Amós.
Tecoa era un asentamiento en la cima de una colina, a unos ocho kilómetros al sur de Belén, con vistas al desierto que llevaba su nombre. Es conocida sobre todo como la ciudad natal del profeta Amós (Am 1:1) y de la mujer sabia anónima que Joab reclutó para persuadir a David de que permitiera el regreso de Absalón (2 Sam 14:2). Roboam la fortificó como parte de la red defensiva de Judá (2 Cr 11:6), y el ejército de Josafat se congregó en el desierto de Tecoa antes de la derrota milagrosa de Moab y Amón (2 Cr 20:20).
